Lauren Hackbarth, DVM

Originally from Illinois, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Iowa State University in 2018 before moving to the Twin Cities to earn my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at University of Minnesota in 2022. I recently moved to Colorado Springs after spending my first 3 years out of school practicing in Hawaii.

Being a veterinarian has been a lifelong dream ever since I was little. I have always been intrigued by medicine and the flexibility to take on multiple roles within the veterinary medicine field. I love that no day looks the same as the next and that I am always learning something new. My current professional interests include internal medicine, surgery, and fostering the human-animal bond. 

I am dedicated to providing comfort and relief to my patients while educating clients so that they feel confident and informed about their pet’s care.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, thrifting new records, playing fetch with my dog, Elway, snuggling with my cat, Peyton as well as spending time with my husband whether it be by hiking, trying out a new restaurant or exploring all that Colorado has to offer.
